Hello Sweetheart, it's Febuary!

February 1, 2018

2018 is already whizzing by at my house, as it is likely to be at yours also.  February may be the shortest month in the calendar year, but with Valentines Day and Mardi Gras celebrations with in hours of each other, I am betting on a super fun filled month!

To me these are the best times.  It can admittedly be a touch overwhelming.  On the bright side Valentines provides crafting opportunities that are ENDLESS!  In next weeks e-newsletter you will be sure to find a resource article giving ideas on some of the many ideas you can use to spend some family time together.

Speaking of spending time, have you looked in the mirror lately?  Have you forgotten about yourself? Sounds like a silly question.  How could you forget about yourself?  You are always there.  My point exactly!  Forgetting about yourself can really be easy.  As a parent you are always thinking about someone other than you.  You, you know that person that at the end of the day is the one that makes it all work.  If you have a partner in this adventure we lovingly call parenthood be thankful, but you need to let the old saying play in your head.  We have all heard it before "To be able to truly love someone you must first love yourself".  Being a parent can sometimes be hard.  Being an amazing parent is almost impossible!  We can try! Because you have a job to do.  One that is more important than any other you will ever have, one that reaps rewards that are unable to be measured.  You build foundations!  You are the main person in charge of building the foundation for your children.  They are ever vigilnt, they notice it all!  It is a big task and not to be taken lightly.  Do you see where this is headed?  If you don't love yourself, if you don't care for yourself how can you expect your children to love and care for themselves when they start to build their building of life on the foundation you have laid for them.  So take some time for you, just you! In this heart filled month to love it a good time to start.  It will not only be good for you, it will be good for all those that look to you for so many of their needs.

Keep your smile bright and your bed time kisses sweet!
